Johna Till Johnson

Johna Till Johnson has decades of experience working with senior technology and business executives at world-class organizations to address the challenges of innovation, emerging technology, and enterprise risk management. She co-founded Nemertes Research, which under her leadership has grown for the past 12 years to become a trusted advisor to some of the most significant organizations in the world. At Nemertes, she works with strategic clients and leads research in innovation, security and risk management, and emerging technology trends.
Prior to launching Nemertes Research, Ms. Johnson served as senior vice president and chief technology officer at Greenwich Technology Partners, a global infrastructure consulting and engineering firm, where she managed strategic technology investments, oversaw partnerships and acquisitions, and ran the technology practices to which GTP’s consultants and engineers belonged. She also managed laboratory services, oversaw training, and performed consulting for strategic clients.
Prior to joining GTP, she headed the Global Networking Strategies Service business unit of META Group, where she advised Global 2000 organizations, vendors, and service providers. As senior technology editor of Data Communications magazine, Ms. Johnson managed the lab-testing program, and in the early ‘90s was one of the first experts to accurately predict and justify the rise of the commercial Internet.
Ms. Johnson also has designed and developed security, speechsynthesis, and free-space laser products at companies including Mosler Security Systems and Digitus Corp. She holds a BSEE (CS) from The Johns Hopkins University and has conducted graduate work in nuclear and particle physics at the University of Rochester.
In addition to speaking three languages, Ms. Johnson published a science fiction novel in 1995, along with hundreds of research papers and award-winning articles in the past two decades. She is an avid urban kayaker who recently completed the 300-mile Everglades Challenge, an adventure race from Tampa to Key Largo, Florida.
